About the job
As Senior Product Manager at SimScale, you will use your deep understanding of the simulation market, the product design process, the competitive landscape as well as company context such as strategy and funding situation to devise and execute a winning product plan. You will focus and align the entire company on delivering value to our customers as well as meeting revenue objectives.
Your responsibilities (the cool stuff you will do)
  • As the expert on customer demand, market, and competition you’re building and maintaining the product vision
  • Actively gather qualitative and quantitative information about product usage, customer satisfaction, market and competition to translate it into a winning product roadmap
  • This includes organizing and running customer and expert interviews, user experience tests, analyzing product metrics reports, maintaining feature request infrastructure etc.
  • Listen to customers, probe for deeper understanding of their underlying problems, understand what customers can and will pay for and map out compelling product enhancements
  • Work closely together with sales and marketing teams to know what’s going on “in the field” and leverage these insights when defining product requirements
  • Validate product requirements with respect to their revenue impact before communicating them transparently and effectively to engineering
What we expect from you (must-haves)
  • 3+ years of hands-on product management/ownership experience in software industry
  • Experience in and deep understanding of the engineering software market and its users (CAD / CAM / CAE)
  • Proven track record of developing, managing, and launching successful software products that became profitable businesses
  • Project and time management – planning, organizing, prioritizing, implementation, adaptable scheduling and flexibility and the handling of multiple tasks
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and customer orientation skills
What we expect from you (nice-to-haves)
  • Hands-on product management experience within the PLM software industry (for a CAD/CAM/CAE product)
  • Knowledge of all phases of the product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debugging, verification, qualification, and production support.
  • Experience in UI/UX design and rapid prototyping environment a strong plus
  • Familiarity with Scrum / Agile / Lean Startup methodologies
  • Exceptional technical and data-analysis skills
